"DRIFTERS"
These are pastel drawings of a series of perhaps ten. It initially began as an assignment for my class in portfolio making. The thesis of my assignment was "homeless".
I collected photographs from various sources and drew them to conform to my initial idea of these "Drifters". In most cases I have changed the initial photograph in some small way so that it is somewhat different from the original photo.
The challenge in this task was not the drawing but more the locating of photographs to draw from. The majority of these works have been completed in pastels, however there are some watercolours
This is the series of works that I will be showing at the Strega Bar and Art Gallery in May.
